Waste collector is not common in Hong Kong. Given the convenient location of the service lanes, the collection of various wastes is facilitated by providing of collectors in the lanes. Materials that can be collected include food waste, cooking oil, computer parts, plastics, glass and etc. Some food waste collected will be transformed into fertilizers or other uses locally.
