Why are we Smart?

 

Still presuming smart city equals to greening and technology only?

A more sophisticated definition of smart city is a joint participation of citizens towards a higher order of harmony by more integration in the community.
 

So, Lane+ is here to 

• Link each individual in the city whereby everyone is socially inclusive through a publicly accessible platform – The Service Lanes by IT means

• Released abandoned land uses to create social, environmental and economic benefits

• Propose appropriate firefighting system to cope with service lane development.

 

 

Time for Change 

 

In Hong Kong, there are thousands of service lanes located between buildings, comprising a total area of approximately 791.4 hectares[1], usually placed with sundries or garbage and are generally perceived as disgusting and sickening. More often, such environment is the breeding ground of diseases and fire, jeopardizing nearby residences’ health and safety.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are well aware that land in Hong Kong is precious, therefore we are here to provide effective land use solutions for a revolutionary change to the current situation.

Lane+ is a NGO which aims at optimizing the land use of service lane and thus enhancing land efficiency through different innovative solutions.

 

We believe that we can act as a platform for landowners, government and the general public to cooperate effectively for a better use and development of not only service lanes, but also local communities and the society as a whole.
