Rainwater harvesting systems collect and store rainfall for later use. It is not commonly found in old buildings due to the limited space in the building. However, with utilisation of service lane, it is possible to place such system in the urban area. The system will be designed appropriately so that rainwater can be collected from the buildings next to the lane and stored in the tank located in the lane for treatment and later use. Possible uses the water collected are irrigation of plants.
